RESTORING THE STATE THEATRE
See our latest Showtime newsletter.Come to Cinema at the State Third Thursday. The Auburn Placer Performing Arts Center began a film series in the fall of 2009, called Cinema at the State Third Thursdays. The initial offering is a series of award-winning films shown on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. A limited number of advance tickets will be available to purchase online. 50 tickets will be available online, and 80 tickets will be available to purchase at the door. The box office will open 90 minutes before the start of each movie. Since the movie series will be operating with all-volunteer help, any APPAC member or community individual who might be interested in volunteering on film nights is encouraged to contact the office at (530) 885-0156. Areas in which help is needed include: ticketing, concessions, ushering and clean-up at the end of the evening. Cinema at the State Film Series On Stage at the State TheatreThe Auburn Placer Performing Arts Center series of live events, On Stage at the State Theatre, features a classical series of concerts, an acoustic series of concerts, and a series of community events.
